Blue Rodeo – 5 Days in May

"5 Days in May" is the lead track on Blue Rodeo's most commercially successful album, Five Days in July, and was also the lead single, so this was the first recording to feature James Gray in place of Bob Wiseman, who left after Lost Together. We were such big Bob Wiseman fans that it took us a while to warm to post-Wiseman Blue Rodeo, but we have seen them several times since and have begun to come around to the possibility that songs like "5 Days in May" stand with the best of the first four albums.

"5 Days in May" ranks #65 in Bob Mersereau's The Top 100 Canadian Singles and placed fortieth in Chart Magazine's 2005 poll.
